Delores Joan Freeman

Delores Joan Freeman, 93, of Table Rock, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27, 2026, at home in Table Rock, with her daughter Sharon by her side.  She was born November 4, 1932, in Bloomfield, Iowa to Homer and Laverne (Sweetland) Rogers.

Joan married Glenn Freeman Jr. in Kansas City, Kansas. To this union three children were born: Dennis, Stanley and Sharon.

Joan was a homemaker, raising their children in Fairview and Sabetha, Kansas, moved to Dawson, Nebraska and from there to Kansas City, Kansas. Upon retiring, Glenn and Joan moved to Table Rock, Nebraska.

She enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, and various animals including her chickens and ducks.  Joan was always welcoming friends and family to her home and there was always an empty chair at her table for a meal. Her specialty was homemade noodles loved by all her grandkids.          

Joan was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Freeman Jr, brother George Rogers, sister Marie Chapman, sister Cheryl Walters, brother Homer Clarence Davenport, infant brother Jackie Rogers and parents Homer and Laverne Rogers.

Joan is survived by sons Dennis Freeman and wife Laura of Des Moines, IA, Stan Freeman and wife Linda of Kansas City, KS and daughter Sharon (Ron) of Table Rock, 7 grandchildren: Jeremy, Greg, Dustin, Scott, Bryan, Lacey and Brittany, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral Services 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2026 at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska with Pastor Jeanie Sedivy officiating.  Visitation Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 4-6 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Interment at the Table Rock Cemetery, Table Rock, Nebraska.  Memorials to family choice for a later designation.  Online condolences may be left at www.wherrymortuary.com.
