Sally Jean (Farrow) Knapp

Sally Jean (Farrow) Knapp, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in Humboldt, Nebraska.  She was born on May 15, 1955, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to William Ray and Audrey Arla (Hayes) Farrow. Sally lived a life filled with love, faith, and a deep connection to nature.

A woman of great faith, Sally was a longtime member of the New Apostolic Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her faith guided her throughout her life and inspired her dedication to serving others. Whether through her church or in her community, Sally found joy in helping those around her.

Sally had a remarkable talent for gardening. With her green thumb and passion for plants, she transformed every season into a vibrant display of color and beauty. Her gardens were not only a reflection of her creativity but also a source of joy for all who saw them.

Her love for animals and nature was boundless. Sally had a special place in her heart for stray animals and made it her mission to provide them with shelter, warmth, and care. Being outdoors brought her peace, whether she was tending to her garden or simply enjoying the natural world around her.

Above all else, Sally treasured her family. She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. Her memory will be forever cherished by those she held dear.

May Sally’s legacy of love for nature, animals, and community continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered always.  Sally was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Bill and Gary Farrow.

She is survived by her loving sister Mary Batek, devoted daughter Melissa Betancourt and husband Ray, and cherished grandchildren Ciarra Evans and Logan Betancourt. Sally is also survived by her beloved companion and partner, Roger Herr of Humboldt, Nebraska.
